You can now leave comments!

Several visitors to the blog have told us they have tried to leave comments but have been discouraged by the lengthy and complex registration process.

Just to let you know, we have now changed the security settings on the blog such that you can now leave comments *without* having to register.

This does the leave the blog open to abuse by unscrupulous spammers, but hopefully this will not get in the way of friends and family who want to say 'hi'!

So, if you feel the urge, leave us some comments. We'd love it.

Hope the African adventure is still fun
Here it is all the same except that the economy is going belly up. People have stopped spending and for a consumer society like ours this is bad news. The politicians have been playing change of guard for the last couple of months so the economy probs have been put on the back burner.I am still in Waikawa beach and as the summer approaches it is a pleasant place to be.... The security of this blog is standard so the folks who try to leave comments must be blog newbies .Take care out there in oldest continent in the world

OK, just wrote a comment and then lost it again - so let's try again! Your sojourn sounds an amazing adventure - Africa sounds as though it is truly another world. I was going to ask for your proper address, but having read of your outing to the post office, I don't know if it's worth bothering! Still, it will be fun to imagine our little Christmas card to you composting and mouldering down into the general mulch in the sorting office. I will e-mail our newsletter, which reveals our lives to be a little less exciting and entertaining than yours....keep up the writing!
